  14. Even though Mom congratulated you for both of us, I feel compelled to add my two cents because I'm very proud of my little girl. I know you appreciate all of the genes you got from me. You know I've had a lifelong dream to be a world famous author of best selling novels. I haven't actually written anything yet (Mom points out that I did have a book published, but that wasn't a novel). The point is that the desire gene is there, which you used successfully. I guess your youngest brother got the BAS gene from me. Oh, that's the boat acquisition syndrome. I'm happy to pass all of these neat genes on to my offspring.

But, enough silliness. I am extremely proud of you for this accomplishment. May there be many more stories, novels, screenplays, etc. Maybe Harry can write a musical score for you.

  15. Thanks PJ and Vivian - the critique group was so essential in making this a success!

Thanks Kris - you're right - always hold onto those dreams!

Liz - you know this story wouldn't even have happened without you telling me it was embedded in that other story!

Dad - Harry has your books on his bookshelf - he hasn't read them yet. Actually we might give them back to you. But you're right, that wasn't a novel - I think it's high time you wrote one - especially now that retirement is around the corner.

  16. How weird...I KNOW I congratulated you yesterday and even voted "yes" on breakfast!
(This is not the first blog I visited today where I know I commented yesterday; maybe there was a glitch, or maybe I imagined the whole thing, LOL!)

Congratulations!!! I'm waiting anxiously for my autographed copy!!

Have your feet touched the ground yet?
