Happy St. Patrick's Day

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Thank you for posting the Irish Prayer, although, from some warped sense or something in me, the phrase "may the road come up to meet you," makes me think of falling down on the road. I guess you could view it that way, as the comedic Irish in me is always doing.

That must have been an enjoyable evening when Pippi and her peers read their poems, etc. Congratulations to all of them.

I see that you are one of a few folks left in the blogging world, everyone, including She Who Must be Obeyed, have fled to Space Book and Face Page, or whatever they are. I was waiting for your Pocono brother to post pictures of maple sugaring and kept checking his blog and even his Smug Mug page to no avail. Finally, Mom showed them to me on Space Page. Has everyone turned into internet nomads, going to the latest and greatest site? What will it be next week, My Mug? I can't keep up with all the Yahoos on Google and don't know where the faces have gone. What I say to all this is Bah Humbug!

I'm here. And on facebook. And I even tweet occasionally. I'm an internet nomad with roots. I move on - but stay behind too. Or something like that.

Anyway - Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. We talked about your great-grandmother today - our Irish connection.
