Considering my last two posts has led me to wonder - who was the person that decided that the ever-crucial standardized testing for 3rd and 4th graders was going to take place immediately after we moved the clocks ahead?
Is it a statewide time or a school district time to decide when to do the test. I would think that if it was the school district it would benefit because they could claim that the time change disadvantaged the test scores making it so they don't have to answer to a higher authority. If it is the state, it follows the whole standardized testing of same conditions for everyone. I would also think that it is just preparing kids for college. Not many took tests on a great number of hours of sleep.
Though this is a new date for the time change - maybe when the test dates were set they didn't know this was when the time change was going to be. - just trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

It appears to be a statewide thing.
