For her Language Arts class, Pippi had to make a 3-D model of one of the characters in
A Wrinkle in Time. She chose Mrs. Whatsit. And here she is in all her multi-layered glory. We used black balloons for the black rubber boots. A felt hat was a little tough to make, the grey hair though was pretty simple.

looks good
Cannot believe you really made this! It's so clever and cute (and I'm not implying I don't think you could be responsible for clever and cute things). Just look at the effort involved!
My daughter did most of it - with some guidance. The coat we actually had (my Mom had made it for one of my dolls when I was a little girl) - so we made a doll to fit the coat. (and maybe I should stop trying to draw dolls freehand because she has way too skinny legs) - I got Pippi set up at her sewing machine and she sewed it together. She stuffed it too.
Wow! She takes after her mom.
It's really great! I'll just add that the material for the pants, although it's not very visible in the pic, is from pants I made in the 60's for myself and I believe I made a matching pair for daughter! Wow! Mom
Those must have been some wild pants, Mom!
If you think those pants were wild, you should have seen the pajamas she used to wear.
She's perfect! I'd expect an A+!
Ahhh! So cute. How clever Pippi is!
